Not MY Z :-) but the '71 240 a good friend had for sale. Some of you saw it in classifieds, and some, like Damon, drooled. A fully restored BRG car with correct polished wheels, black interior, etc. A few mods, like polished rocker cover, jet coated 6 into 1 header, all urethane suspension, etc. I drove the car from St Pete to east Orlando for him, about 110 miles. Running with the windows down in a 4 spd car at 85 (about 4k) that is 30 year old technology is a real blast from the past for old guys like me. I know you have heard me state that the Z32 is really a FINE GT car. I will stand by that position. It is amazing the difference in the car over a 20 year period. Even having lived and driven through that period of time, you really forget how basic the old stuff was, even though 'back in the day' it was cutting edge stuff. The Z32 is totally plush and luxurious compared to the old 240s. Like them both for what they are, but a drive like that will remind you of what a sports car is and what a GT car is. As many of you have seen, I have 'offered' to be a transporter of cars for those making long distance buys. I can now say I have 'experience' in the business. ROTF! If you have the chance to ride or drive an early Z, particularly one that is pristine and fundamentally stock, take it. It will be worth your time.
